Features of the Hoffen HO-L-18 luggage measuring scale
- Weighs up to 50 kg and reads in 10 g steps.
- The tape pulls out from the side, so you can check your bag's length, width and height against your airline's size limit.
- The LCD has a backlight, which helps in a dim hotel room or godown.
- Hang an empty crate or bag and press TARE. The display then shows only what you put in it.
- The reading stays on the display after you lower the load.
- The S-hook is chrome plated against rust and clips into the back of the scale when you pack it.
- The handle is wide enough for your whole hand, which you'll notice when lifting 20 kg or more.

- It weighs 320 g and comes with a nylon pouch.

How to weigh and measure
- Open the cover on the back and put in 2 AA batteries.
- Press the power button with nothing on the hook and wait for 0.000 kg.
- Press UNIT to choose g or kg.
- Hang the load. Put the hook through a sack mouth or crate handle. For a suitcase, loop the strap through the handle and hang the strap on the hook.
- Lift by the handle until the load is off the floor, hold it steady for a second or two and read the weight. The reading stays on the display after you put the load down.
- To weigh only the contents, hang the empty crate or bag, press TARE, then fill it.
- To measure, pull the tape out from the side of the scale.
Care
- Don't hang more than 50 kg. Lift straight up, because swinging the load changes the reading and strains the hook.
- Wipe the hook and body dry after weighing fish or wet produce.
- Don't drop the scale or let a load fall onto the hook.
- Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.
- Take the batteries out if you won't use it for a few weeks, and keep it in its pouch.
