FAQs
Questions buyers ask before choosing a stainless steel platform scale.
Which size should I buy?
Pick by your heaviest load: 100 kg on a 400 mm platform, 200 kg on 500 mm or 300 kg on 600 mm.
Which is better, stainless steel or mild steel?
Stainless steel does not rust, so it suits meat, fish and places that are wiped down often. Mild steel costs less and is fine for dry goods.
What happens when the power goes off?
It keeps working on its built-in battery. A full charge gives about 2 days of backup, so a power cut does not stop your sales.
Can I weigh in a tray or bag?
Yes. Put the empty tray or bag on, press TARE and the scale goes back to 0. It then shows only what you add.
What is the smallest weight it can show?
100 g. Lighter items may not register.
What if I put too much on it?
The display shows an overload sign. Take the extra weight off to protect the load cell.
