One carat is 0.2 g. To price a diamond by its carat weight you need a scale that reads to the third decimal. The CT-50 reads in 0.001 g steps up to 50 g, which is 0.005 ct, and shows the result straight in carats.

Built to keep the reading steady
- At this accuracy even your breath moves the number. The clear windshield closes over the pan to keep air out.

- Calibration weights come in the box, so you can check and calibrate the scale yourself with the CAL key.

Set it up
- Place the scale on a firm table away from fans, AC vents and open windows.
- Turn the feet until the bubble in the level sits in the middle of its ring.
- Switch on, close the windshield and let it warm up for about a minute.
How to weigh
- Put the weighing dish on the pan, close the windshield and press TARE.
- Open the windshield, place the stone in the dish with the tweezer and close it again.
- Wait for the reading to settle, then read it. Press MODE to switch between ct, g and tola.
Keep it accurate
- Never put more than 50 g on the pan.
- Handle stones and weights with the tweezer. Oil from fingers adds weight.
- Calibrate with the supplied weights and the CAL key as the manual shows.
- Keep the windshield closed while it reads, and keep the scale away from phones and radios.
- Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.
