A 500g pocket scale that saves its batteries
Most pocket scales light the display every time you switch on. The DS-500 has its own backlight key. Turn the light on in a dim room or at night, and leave it off in daylight so the two AAA batteries last longer.
- Reads every 0.01 g up to 500 g, so a gold chain, a pinch of saffron or a coffee dose shows its real weight.
- The 60 x 75 mm steel pan holds a small bowl, a ring tray or a folded paper.
- Press MODE for grams, carats or tola.
Slim, black and pocket sized
- The black flip cover shuts over the pan and keys, so the sensor is safe in a pocket, purse or toolkit.
- At 11.4 x 8.1 cm and about 150 g it is smaller than most phones.
- Tare takes away the weight of the bowl or paper, so you only weigh what is in it.
- Overload and low battery signs, and it switches itself off when you forget.
Where it helps
- Jewellers and buyers checking gold and silver.
- Home bakers and coffee lovers measuring yeast, spices and beans.
- Ayurvedic and herbal powders, and small parts for hobbies.
