How to weigh
- Put the scale on a firm, level table away from fans, AC vents and open windows.
- Close the cover so moving air cannot push the reading around.
- Switch it on and wait until the display shows 0.
- Put an empty tray or paper on the pan if you use one, and press TARE so the display goes back to 0.
- Place the ornament, stone or sample inside, close the cover again and read the weight when the number stops changing.
- Press UNIT to switch between grams, carats and tola.
Care
- Don't put more than 600 g on the pan, and don't drop anything onto it.
- Keep the scale where it will stay. Moving it to a new table can change the reading, so recheck it with a known weight.
- Wipe the pan and body with a soft dry cloth. Keep water and chemicals away from the keys.
- Run it on the adapter, or on the inbuilt battery during power cuts. Charge the battery fully before a long day without power.
- Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.

The JS-610 has red LED digits and a smaller 90 mm pan. The JS-6002 has green LED digits, a 130 mm pan and piece counting.

Does it work without power?
Yes. The inbuilt battery takes over in a power cut. Charge it on the adapter.
Do I need to keep the cover on?
For the last digit to stay still, yes. Air from a fan or AC can move a 10 mg reading.
