Gold is billed by the milligram, so the scale has to settle on the same number every time. The JS-6002 reads every 0.01 g up to 600 g, and its clear cover keeps the fan and the AC from moving the last digit.

How to weigh
- Put the scale on a firm, level table away from fans, AC vents and open windows.
- Close the cover so moving air cannot push the reading around.
- Switch it on and wait until the display shows 0.
- Put an empty tray or paper on the pan if you use one, and press TARE so the display goes back to 0.
- Place the ornament, stone or sample inside, close the cover again and read the weight when the number stops changing.
- Press UNIT to switch between grams, carats and tola.
Counting pieces
- Press the counting key and put the number of sample pieces the display asks for on the pan.
- Confirm. The scale now works out the weight of one piece.
- Add the rest. The display shows how many pieces are on the pan.
Care
- Don't put more than 600 g on the pan, and don't drop anything onto it.
- Keep the scale where it will stay. Moving it to a new table can change the reading, so recheck it with a known weight.
- Wipe the pan and body with a soft dry cloth. Keep water and chemicals away from the keys.
- Run it on the adapter, or on the inbuilt battery during power cuts. Charge the battery fully before a long day without power.
- Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.

How exact is it?
It reads in 0.01 g (10 mg) steps up to 600 g. That is fine enough for gold billing and gold exchange.
Why does it have a cover?
At 10 mg, a ceiling fan or an AC vent can move the last digit. Close the cover and the reading stays still.
Can my customer see the weight?
Yes. There is a green LED display at the back as well as the front.
Does it show tola and carat?
Yes. Press UNIT to switch between grams, carats and tola.
Will it work in a power cut?
Yes. It has an inbuilt battery that takes over when the power goes. Charge it on the adapter.
