Know your BMI every morning

Step on and the HO-9 shows your weight. It sends the reading to the free My Fit India app, which works out your BMI and more than 25 other body metrics from your weight, height, age and gender.

There are no metal pads on the glass, so the body values are estimates from your profile. Keep your height and age up to date in the app. To get your height right, measure it on a stature meter.

First time

1. Put the 2 AAA batteries in the battery box under the scale.
2. Install the My Fit India app on your phone (Android or iPhone) and create your profile with height, age and gender. The app works out the body values from these and your weight, so enter them correctly.
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Some Android phones also need location turned on for the scale to be found.
4. Open the app and step on the scale to pair it.

Every day

1. Put the scale on a hard, flat floor, not on a carpet or mat.
2. Open the app, then step on. Socks are fine, but take off your shoes.
3. Stand still in the middle until the weight locks on the display.
4. The reading goes to the app, which shows your BMI and other values.

For steady readings

• Weigh at the same time each day, best in the morning before eating.
• Update your age and height in the app when they change.
• Don't stand on the edge or jump on the glass.
• Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.
