200 kg or 300 kg: which digital crane scale should you buy?
Both models read in the same 50 g steps, so the 300 kg model is just as fine as the 200 kg one. Choose by the heaviest load you lift, and leave some room above it.
- Weighing grain or onion sacks, produce crates and farm loads that stay under about 170 kg? The 200 kg model is enough.
- Weighing cotton bales, scrap, two sacks at a time, or loads close to 200 kg? Take the 300 kg model.
This 200 kg model has a Blue body and is best for Grain sacks, produce, mandi and farm loads.
Made for weighing on a hook
- Two displays. The person lifting the load reads the front, and the buyer or supervisor on the other side reads the back.
- Tare. Hang the empty sling, crate or bag and press Tare. The scale then shows only the goods.
- Running totals. M+ adds each reading to memory and MR shows the total, which helps when you weigh a truck load bag by bag.
- Rechargeable 6 V battery. About 6 hours of charging gives about 24 hours of weighing, and you can keep working on the AC adaptor.
- Overload and low battery warnings, plus standby to save charge between loads.

What's in the box
- Omace digital crane scale, 200 kg, with top and bottom hooks fitted
- AC adaptor for charging

Before first use
- Charge the battery fully. It takes about 6 hours.
- Hang the scale from a crane hook, chain pulley or strong beam that can hold more than your heaviest load.
How to weigh
- Switch on with nothing on the bottom hook and wait for 0.
- If you use a sling, crate or bag, hang it empty and press Tare.
- Lift the load slowly. Don't jerk it or drop it onto the hook.
- Wait until the load stops swinging and the reading settles, then read the front or the back display.
- To add up several loads, press M+ after each one and MR to see the total.
- Lower the load to the ground before you unhook it.
Check that it reads right
- Weigh a load you know, for example sacks already weighed on a platform scale.
- Then weigh a heavier known load. If both match, the scale is right across its range.
Stay safe and keep it accurate
- Never stand or put your hands under a hanging load.
- Never lift more than 200 kg.
- Don't leave a load hanging on the scale for hours.
- A reading that keeps moving usually means the load is swinging, wind is blowing, or a welding machine or big motor is running close by.
- Charge it when the low battery sign shows. If you store it for a long time, charge it about once a month.
- Keep it dry. Wipe it with a dry cloth.
- Use it between 10 °C and 40 °C.

FAQs
Questions buyers ask before choosing a digital crane scale for their godown, mandi, farm or factory.
Should I buy the 200 kg or the 300 kg model?
Both read in 50 g steps. Take the 200 kg model for sacks, crates and farm loads under about 170 kg. Take the 300 kg model for bales, scrap or loads close to 200 kg.
Can the person on the other side see the weight?
Yes. There is a green LED display on the front and another on the back, so the buyer and the person lifting both see the same reading.
How long does the battery last?
About 24 hours of weighing on a full charge. A full charge takes about 6 hours, and you can keep weighing with the AC adaptor plugged in.
Can I hang it from a chain pulley or a forklift?
Yes, from any hook, chain pulley, crane or beam that can hold more than your load. Lift slowly and never stand under the load.
How do I weigh goods in a sling or crate?
Hang the empty sling or crate, press Tare so the display shows 0, then load it. The display shows only the goods.
Can it add up many bags?
Yes. Press M+ after each bag to add it to memory, and MR to see the total. This saves writing every weight down.
Why does the reading keep changing?
The load is usually still swinging. Wait for it to hang still. Strong wind, or a welding machine or big motor running nearby, can also make the reading move.
Can I use it outdoors in the rain?
Keep it dry. It can be used outdoors in dry weather, but rain or a wash-down can damage the electronics.
