Usage
- Hang the scale. Hook it to a sturdy beam or hook, or hold it firmly at the top ring.
- Attach the empty sling. Hook the sling to the bottom S-hook.
- Zero it. Turn the zero-adjust until the pointer sits on 0.
- Place the baby. Gently put the baby’s legs through the sling’s leg holes, then lift it onto the hook.
- Read at eye level. Let the baby settle, then read the mark at eye level.
- Lift the baby off. Support the baby with both hands before unhooking the sling.
Precautions and Care
- Always keep one hand close to the baby while weighing.
- Hang only from a strong, fixed point that can hold the weight.
- Do not load more than 5 kg.
- Don’t pull, drop or jerk the hook. Sudden force can stretch the spring.
- Wipe the scale with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
- Hand-wash the sling in mild soap and dry it fully before use.
- Store it dry, away from heat and direct sunlight.

- How do I clean the sling between babies?
Hand-wash it in lukewarm water with mild soap, rinse well and dry it completely. Keep a spare sling so you can rotate between visits.
- Why is the pointer not at zero before weighing?
Springs can settle with use or temperature. Turn the zero-adjust with the empty sling attached until the pointer reads 0. Do this before every session.
- Can I hold it in my hand instead of hanging it?
Yes. Hold the top ring steady at eye level. A fixed hook gives the most stable reading, especially with a wriggly baby.
- How long will the spring stay accurate?
With careful use it lasts for years. To keep it accurate, avoid jerking, dropping or overloading it beyond 5 kg.
- My baby weighs more than 5 kg now. What should I use?
